Lead Free Certification

AVK is pleased to announce a major milestone in its commitment to health, sustainability and industry leadership — the company’s popular 570 range of Resilient Seated Gate Valves (RSGV) is now officially Lead-Free certified (through the WaterMark Certification Scheme) and carries the Lead-Free WaterMark logo.

This milestone positions AVK among the first valve manufacturers to proactively comply with the upcoming industry mandate for lead-free plumbing products, set to take effect in May 2026.

AVK has secured full certification well ahead of schedule, with its lead-free status officially recognised as of July 2025—giving our partners ample time to prepare for the upcoming industry mandate transition.

The move delivers clear health and environmental benefits, especially in applications involving potable water.

By minimising lead in the product materials, AVK significantly reduces the risk of contamination, supporting safer water systems and aligning with global trends toward sustainability and public health.
